Fourteen years into his music production journey... in the darkest depths of COVID-19 lockdowns... a man said to himself "if I don't build a cabin now I'll never do it and I might as well give up on my dreams forever."
Armed with three years of YouTube videos, a spade and four power tools he was sure he could make it work with help from a few amazing friends.... Walker Combe Studios began.

I love working with artists from the earliest stages of songwriting to the final moment of the recording process.
Together we bring your songs to life as close to your original vision as possible and hope to make it even better than you could imagine.
I am happy to fully produce your songs offering creative ideas playing instruments and making beats.
Equally if you've got the sound and arrangement dialled I'm happy to record your tracks and offer feedback if you want it.
Mixing & Mastering
You've got your song recorded!! Now we craft it into something that sounds amazing, well balanced and perfect to share with the world.
Bring in your track on your own laptop, hard drive, or have your own producer send it to me. I also do great work with editing tracks that aren't fully finished or need some corrective work to make them pop.

Festival ready tech setup and sound
Since I began my production journey 12 years ago the priority has always been to prioritise the song and to help the artist find the best version and the sound.
2 years ago I co-founded the North Devon Song Circle with Bryony Faye @bryonyfayemusic. We run sessions with songwriters of all levels.
As a session musician with regular festival experience I offer an Artist Development service to help singer-songwriters develop their sound to be festival ready and explore creative possibilities for their live shows with a small setup.
Music Rescue
Helping people recover songs that haven't gone to plan.
One of the themes that follows my music journey is helping people who have had difficult experiences recover, find a new way forwards and make something beautiful in the process.
I've helped people make tracks that they'd given up on because of difficult experiences with a producer, engineer or bandmate.
Please bring me any projects you've given up on and mean something special to you but they're too painful to try to finish on your own.

Weekends are my most prized slots where people come for a full day or weekend. I can't be flexible with these as it takes opportunity away from people who would want the whole day or weekend to finish a track.
How it works
Come visit the studio or call me for a free consultation about what you want to do with your track, what is the message, the emotion, the sound, the inspiration to express and how to make that happen.
We'll plan out arrangement, instrumentation, any session musicians you might need or extra gear the song needs.
We'll agree a budget, a timescale and what needs to happen to finish the project.
Project Pricing
For people making music this is normally the most cost effective option. We look at what you want to make and agree a price to make it happen.
Until I hear what you want to make it's not possible to give an accurate price as your needs might be different to what you're currently thinking.
However I want to be as upfront and open as possible so click here to see the different types of projects I'm used to working on with a cost estimate.
